MCATSS is committed to doing what is right for society and the environment.
We believe that it is important to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in schools, colleges and the public alike in order to engage individuals and highlight the importance of STEM in the modern world, with the hope that they pursue a future in a related subject. Today’s children will be tomorrow’s innovation and we actively work with local institutions to offer practical working sessions for small groups.
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint to preserve the world that we live in. MCATSS is mindful of the impact that we can have on the environment. Where possible, we will host our meetings by telephone or web-based means, reduce paper use by printing only what is necessary and use public transport where possible. We also look at means of reducing energy consumption by using economically friendly appliances and turning off power when it is not required. We comply with local, regional and national legislation for environmental practices.
